Find Out About Acne Scar Removal After Learning How To Get Rid Of Acne

Acne scars are like the insult added on top of the injury, so learning about acne scar removal is just as important as learning how to get rid of acne. Acne is essentially a skin wound that results from an inflammation. As the wound heals, a scar remains. There is nothing harmful about an acne scar; it just doesn’t look good.

To prevent acne from getting worse, the obvious solution is to try and prevent acne for erupting. As long as the acne is present, the chances of more scarring become greater. There are various types of acne scars mostly named after their shapes: “Ice pick scars” are the most common ones. They are deep, narrow and form pits in the skin. “Rolling scars” are wide and shallow. They produce what looks like a wave on the surface of the skin. “Boxcar scars” are angular, have sharp edges and are found on the temples and cheeks. They look like scars produced by chickenpox. Finally, “Hypertrophic scars” are raised above the skin surface. They can become smaller with time. “Keloid scars” are rubbery, firm and sometimes itch. They are tissue overgrowths that are much larger than the original wound.
